AARUNADDU VELALAR SOCIETY OF SRI LANKA

As a migrant community from South India in Sri Lanka, some of the founding members consistently assisted their relatives who lived in Sri Lanka in several ways. In light of this, a society with 265 members was formally formed on the 28th of December 1980 at the Kamala Modi Hall. Today, we stand as a strong community with 4500+ members and they are tirelessly working towards fulfilling the purposes/aims of AVS which are,

• Working towards the educational and intellectual growth in the society.
• Alleviating poverty in the society by all means.
• Encouraging and promoting talents such as art, culture and sports which brings in a diversity of people together.
• Providing welfare support and supporting the overall well-being of the community. To pave a path towards a very strong and secured future by way of assisting families who need basic necessities.
