Mr Ramababu C, Head of Chancery and Counsellor (Political) and Dr M Kandappan Second Secretary (Consular and Visa Section) at the High Commission of India in Sri Lanka graced the 31st Annual Price Giving organised by the Arunaadu Vellalar Society of Sri Lanka (AVS) on behalf of his Excellency Shi Santosh Jha, High Commissioner of India in Sri Lanka. Mr Rama Babu was received by the President, Secretary General and Treasurer along with Education committee of AVS of Sri Lanka at the New Kathiresan Hall Situated at Colombo 04, Sri Lanka.
AVS is an organisation that is involved in various projects uplifting the upcountry Tamils of Indian Origin in Sri Lanka such as Irradicating educational poverty, improving their living standards, providing Educational Counselling and Social gatherings.
Mr Ramababu delivered His Excellency Shri Santosh Jha’s Message highlighting the great relationship of India & Sri Lanka and looked forward to seeing further strengthening of our two nations in the future. Mr Rama Babu provided the awards for top performers amongst the under graduates as well as special awards within the open age group. The Presence of Mr Ramababu and Dr Kandappan provided immense boost and support to the Awards winners and participants of the Prize Giving.
